COLORADO!!!!!!!!!!!

Our trip to Denver/Breck was a huge success! We were able to attend Keith Crider's beautiful wedding on Saturday night, while Harrison played his heart out with his buddy Nathan. They literally did not skip a beat when they first layed eyes on each other... A big hug, then playtime ensued. We all headed to Breckenridge for several nights afterwards. The weather was nice, the company was even better!

Even with his own seat, Harrison wanted to burrow his toes into our thighs and stand up to see what was going on in the rest of the plane.

Long Summer Days

Well, it's still hot in Houston. My car gauge said 105 degrees yesterday, so with the heat index it was definitely 115!!!! We are doing everything to stay cool, but I am finding it's hard to entertain a 22month old little boy when we can't go outside for long periods of time! We're soooo ready for our Colorado trip!!! Here we come, Zorns!!!!

Here are some pics of the last few days...

We love riding the train at Hermann Park!!!

My little student did not want to go to sleep tonight. So, I told him he really needed to go night-night because we were going to the zoo when he woke up in the morning. He smiled a huge smile and went right down. It's truly amazing how much these little people understand about action and reaction!

Uptown Park Lion!

Berripop - we are both totally addicted to the new Watermelon flavor!

Big steps - Harrison is now drinking out of a big boy cup , with his insistence. He's doing great, so I'm letting it happen. Our pediatrician said to skip the sippy cups and go straight to the cup, I said 'ARE YOU CRAZY???!!!' :)

Drinking out of Mama's Bobble that Aunt Rebecca gave her (with a chocolate smear to boot).

Fouth of July - GA and NC Celebrations

My beautiful, wonderful, inspiring Grandmother!

The fam - Kate, Mom, Aunt Sherron, Grandma, Daddy, Ben & Jack, Maddie (Gma's trainer!!!), Holden, and Brie

"As the final entrants strolled in, a clatter arose as 90-year-old Peggy Smith crossed the line. Family and friends wore white T-shirts touting her accomplishment. Under a wide-brimmed hat, Smith, who walks daily with fellow residents at her assisted living facility, looked like she could have walked another 6.2 miles.
They might have finished more quickly, but "we stopped to speak to everyone along the way," Smith said. "It was loads of fun.""

Our 4th was wonderful! David, HP, and I flew in on Friday and headed to Griffin. Saturday was spent staring at Harrison's horse (Bubba). It seemed like all the child wanted to do was go see his horse. Then, we'd walk all the way to the barn and he'd just stare in awe and complete and utter satisfaction at Bubba and Merlin! When he wasn't admiring the horses, he was driving his John Deer. He can now officially reach and operate the pedals and steering wheel! On Sunday, we met Mom, Dad, and Grandma (with her trainer!) at 14th street and walked the last 1.2 miles of the Peachtree Road Race with them. Ofcourse, I left my video camera at Grandma's condo and all my pics on on it, so I will have to add those later! She was absolutely amazing and we are so proud of her!

After the race, we headed up to the mountain house in NC and cooked out/watched fireworks from Mom and Dad's porch. Bear Lake had a wonderful firework display and we had the best view in town! We spent the week on the Criss Craft and driving the mule around the mountain. After the snake spotting that was 2-3 feet away from Harrison, I wasn't real thrilled on hiking around much, so we played in the baby pool and with the hose on the porch alot!!!! You can't beat the weather though - 70s/80s during the day and 60s at night!

This is our new sailboat/trailer from Dad! We are picking it up in 2 weeks and cannot wait!!!!
