Fun in Atlanta!
My best friend from Georgia Tech was so sweet to open her home to our family for 2 nights so we could hang in Atlanta. I picked David up from the airport, after a much delayed flight from Houston, Friday early evening. We spent the rest of the evening letting Sloane and Harrison play, eating pizza, drinking wine, and catching up. I absolutely loved every minute of it! On Saturday, Megan and I helped throw a shower at her house for a good friend from college, so the boys took the babies to play at Kangazoo. It was so fun seeing all of Kat's loot - she really stocked up for little "Shim" (She or Him, we aren't sure until Shim gets here!). Saturday night, all of my girlfriends from college rented a private room at our favorite college restaurant, Eclipse Di Luna. We brought our significant others along and celebrated our 30ths together for 3 hours. Not surprisingly, we all seemed to pick back up right where we left off... it was so wonderful to see everyone since only a handful of us live in Georgia anymore. On Sunday, David, Harrison, and I ventured over to see my Grandmother for lunch. Her retirement home (Canterbury Court) is so beautiful and we love seeing her when we come to town whether it's there or in Griffin.

Fun at Camp Smith (aka G-Jack and Grandaddy's House)
Harrison and I had the best time in Griffin visiting Mom and Dad. Not much has changed since I left town 12 years ago, but now my parents are both retired and have hobby after hobby! Mom has recently renewed her love for sewing since having a Grandchild, so we were busy trying to operate her new sewing machine. She's making Harrison's Easter outfit and monogramming towels for me! Dad has built about 6 boats in the past 6 months. He just finished a Chris Craft that is absolutely gorgeous and is currently working on a canoe for my brother, Andy, who lives in Utah. Harrison loved drilling with Grandaddy, riding horses (he warmed up on the last day we were there!), flying, and riding his new tractor that Grandaddy bought him. I loved catching up with the parentals, eating too much, drinking lots of wine, and watching my parents gloat with the joy that being Grandparents has brought them!
On Daddy's newly finished Chris Craft, named "Ole Baby" for my Mom!
Jackson Lake maiden voyage

Mom and Thelma brought down my old kitchen from when I was Harrison's age. He absolutely LOVED it!

G-Jack/Gran/Grandmother... we're not really sure what Harrison will want to call her!
Loving the dust buster!

After a night of dinner and drinks with my 2 best childhood girlfriends... We jumped on Mom and Dad in the bed, then coerced Mom to take a "once in a lifetime" picture of us!

A proud Grandaddy with his little follower... Harrison was at his heels the entire time!

Sara Elizabeth came to play - Harrison was absolutely smitten.

What a precious child!

Gaines also came to play, and Harrison was able to get some good baby talk in!

Harrison could not get enough of "Ci-Ci" and followed the poor cat around saying "here, Ci-Ci" the entire trip. By the time we left, he was saying "bye Cici" and "bye Bubba" (the horse). As David has said... it looks like we might have another animal lover/veterinarian in the family - the Smith genes are running strong in Harrison!

FOOD, INC.
A must see movie recommended by my best friend, Lisa Zorn. Things have changed so much since we were little.

Children's Day Inn
Harrison started his little "pre-preschool" on Thursday. He'll be attending every Thursday for 2 hours. It was so hard dropping him off - much harder on me than him! I totally did not expect to break down - afterall, it's only TWO hours! But, my tears started streaming as soon as I walked out of the door! After 20 minutes to regain my composure and some retail therapy at Anthropologie, I was more than ready to pick him up at 1145. When I walked in, he had eaten lunch and was as happy as a clam. He hugged me tightly, gave me a kiss, and started playing again! I was so relieved to see how well he adjusted and his "report card" stated he was happy and busy all morning! This is definitely going to help us both prepare for the two day two's at St. Martin's in August!

More Playtime!
Man, this kid likes to give hugs all the time!
Harrison loved to give Nathan hugs all week. They followed each other around like puppy dogs- Nathan called for "Hair-son" at all times. On the last night they were here, Harrison had gone to bed and Nathan was playing down stairs when he found a green paci of "Hair-son." He immediately ran to his Mom shouting "HAIR-SON, HAIR-SON" with such a devasted and concerned look on his face like, "here is his paci, but where is my buddy!?!"
