He is Risen!

We had a wonderful week full of hunts and candy-binging. (I am pretty sure this week pushed me very close to the 30lb weight gain mark!!) The Easter Bunny was very good to Harrison Sunday morning. It's on video, and I won't bore you with the 6 minutes that it took for Harrison to carefully and meticulously sort through his basket. If there is one personality trait that has been constant from the beginning - Harrison does things at his own pace - from my labor consisting of 3 hours of hard pushing (he just wasn't ready yet and came out looking more cone head than the average baby), to taking 45 minutes to eat lunch if I'd let him. This child loves to string things out!!

Harrison had an adorable Easter breakfast then hunt at school on Thursday. We had several hunts Saturday, then Mom and Dad arrived that afternoon from Georgia. We all met Audrey and Harry at our church for Easter Sunday service, where our sweet priest was sure to give me 1 full wafer in one hand and a 1/2 of another in the other hand (for my extra appendage, obviously!!). After church, our clan headed to Brenners on the Bayou for a wonderful brunch and another Easter Egg Hunt. I loved seeing the elation and excitement for Harrison when he was first out of the gate, trying so hard to gather more eggs than anyone, but being so polite and sharing his loot with other children.

We didn't get a group photo on my camera - my friend Natalie has it - so one more pic to add eventually!

So excited - first out of the gate!

David made sure Harrison wore his "running shoes" on Saturday to the hunt!

Still not so fond of Easter Bunny or Santa...

Last hunt of the year - Mommy is swollen and pooped and ready for nap time! 2 1/2 weeks to go!

Mom and Dad stayed until Tuesday morning and helped immensely. I finally got a nursery going for the new baby. This is SO not like me, but he finally has a place to sleep!!! :) I have placed an order for art work with my fabulously talented father-in-law, and am in the process of ordering several other items. The nursery might be finished by the time he's 2 months?! ;) We also moved Harrison into his toddler bed this weekend and he loves it!

Monkey Face! Harrison loves goofing off with my point and shoot camera, so i ordered one for him "from" the baby - it actually has an SD card and everything! Thank you Lisa for the awesome suggestion - he is going to go bananas!
